Total Rinse Water
One of the key feature's of many of our TotalCabin suite of services, including exterior window washing and carpet cleaning, is our use of Total Rinse Water (TRW). TRW is water that is triple filtered, then processed through a reverse osmosis (RO) system, reducing the Total Dissolvable Solids (TDS) from 200+ to around 4 parts per million.
Unlike hard water or soft water, TRW has very few dissolved minerals and requires no surfactants or conditioners to overcome hardness or other dissolved components. In standard cleaning processes using traditional chemicals and normal tap or well water, the residual minerals in the water combine with cleaning agents which then attach to surfaces and fibers as they dry. After drying, the residual minerals and chemicals are seen as visible contaminants or can flake off fibers and become airborne, similar to cat dander, which can trigger allergic reactions, irritate skin, eyes, nose, throat, and lungs. In addition, introduced dirt bonds to these contaminants.
Why do we go to the expense of purifying the water so thoroughly? It allows us to use less cleaning agents, windows are washed spot free without using a squeegee, and carpet and upholstery are left with less residues, stay cleaner longer, feel softer, smell fresher, and improves indoor air quality. You won't believe how soft your carpets will become!
