Gutter Cleaning
Gutter Cleaning all too often is an overlooked task. Why? Because it just isn't fun, and is dangerous. Anytime you go on a ladder and are above 6' in the air, you are at risk of serious injury, up to and including death. If you do attempt this yourself, make sure you have a good ladder, know how to set it up with the proper angle (too much and too little are dangerous) and we advise you have someone there to hold the ladder.
So why do we have gutters? Gutters are there for a purpose - to redirect the water to a controlled exit point, hopefully away from the foundation. They also protect from dripping water into your grass or landscaping, wearing a line into them over time.
So why do we clean our gutters? Pebbles from shingles, leaves, twigs, and branches all clog the gutters and their downspouts, rendering the gutter not only ineffective, but also creating a new set of problems. Clogged gutters, or even partially filled gutters drain slower, backup, and even become a source for mold, fungi, and pest infestation. Left long enough, vegetation can even form in the gutters, as they often have plenty of nutrients and moisture to sustain life.
Gutter cleaning is especially when you have mature trees around and most cabins and lake homes in the Brainerd Lakes area have plenty of mature trees.
If you'd like your gutters cleaned, let Total Cabin do it. Better yet, when we are done, why not have us put in our Gutter Guards.
